On 19th January 1996 the REACH was born as GOU/UNFPA project implemented by Kapchorwa District Administration which end on 31st December, 2006 having her strategy to combat FGM by promoting developmental cultural practices by celebrating the Sabiny Culture day every year..
The Background Story
On the 5th June,2007, The REACH Programme was reborn as an NGO with a wide goal and coverage. We carried on the goal of combating harmful traditional practices using a culturally sensitive approach and there continued celebrating the annual Sabiny Culture day.
The New Direction
The Sabiny community like other Africans are bound by culture implying that all ills in a set community to be addressed must use culture as an entry point especially in the prevention FGM and child marriage to ensure universal and quality education.
